Things I’ve Been Loving Lately – June

Books

-I probably mention Liane Moriarty's Three Wishes more than you all like to hear, but since I'm having my tonsillectomy on Monday (eeek!) I'll be bringing this favourite with me. As I've said before, when I had surgery a few years ago to calm myself down in the pre-opp room I closed my eyes and read to myself from the book: in my memory. I've read it *that* many times I can pretty much just recite it on queue. So no doubt I'll be doing this again on Monday!!
-I bought six books today. Cheap ones from ...

Things I’ve been loving lately – May

Books
-Penguin Mini Modern Classics. I bought three of these today. It was going to be four, but the Virginia Woolf one was all bent and in awful condition, and you guys know how anal I am about books!
-Brigid Lowry’s Triple Ripple. As I’ve mentioned one or two (or ten or twenty!) times before, I am a *huge* Lowry fan and I also got this book today. CANNOT. WAIT. TO. READ. IT.
-A little while ago, I got a picture book in the mail to review. Tis my first, and it will be a huge learning curve for me: I’ve never reviewed a picture book before! Stay tuned for that one...
