I’ve always really loved gorgeous cards and postcards, and I’ve always had them sitting on my dresser or window sill, held in little card holders (these ones, from Typo). Problem with them in my new house they’re right in my path to get to my bathroom so I am always knocking them over, plus my sister’s car knocks them over. And shoving them in the spiral coil is slowly ruining them.
So last night I was all inspired after looking at Etsy and decided I needed to do something!
And look at the top photo – how pretty! They’re my first six, a combination of cards and postcards, in white photo frames (frames three for $6! Love K-mart!).
I have some more of them too. Some of them I need to buy more of those white frames (annoyingly enough, you can’t see the text in the colourful dot one. It says It’s a new day. From kikki.K)
Some of those ones can’t really fit into those frames as they’re more square, and larger. So, I thought I’d buy some little pegs, and either put them on string or stick them with sticky dots to make a wall feature. I bought my mini pegs from kikki.K.
If you’re after some wonderful Alice in Wonderland bookish jewelry, you can’t go past Betsy Blonde. I’ve spoken about Betsy Blonde before, and I can personally vouch for its awesomeness. I have this Alice necklace (as you can tell from the SOLD under it!). You can find Betsy Blonde in her Etsy store or eBay store. And you can buy stuff on her Facebook page. (And no, I’m not being paid to advertise!)
I spent hours on Etsy last night searching bookish things.
I smiled when I discovered this:
I mean, really. Why do I need anything else?
Love me some Virginia!
(If you don’t like Woolf, they do Austen as well as some others.)
There are so many fantastic bookish things to decorate your house with.
I’m only just discovering them, and part of this was prompted by the wonderful Sarah from Yes and Yes, who yesterday posted about some great prints to hang on your wall.
Everything is just so pretty!
And today I also discovered this from Typo.
Why indeed!
I really love that all this prettiness is coming back in. Never before have there been more craft, scrapbooking, gorgeous things around.
My only problem now is there is too much lovely stuff! I can’t narrow it down! I want it all!
Also, I should mention that I bought two books (thanks for the voucher for my birthday, Melissa and Andrew!) on Thursday: Losing It and Love Shy. I’ve started Losing It and it is amazing. Go read it! Now!!
Do you have lots of pretty bookish things around your home?
