Californication + Writing

So last night I was watching Californication (I should also take this point out to thank commentor Amy, who got me into the show) as I often do (season three, episode five if anyone is wondering) (I swear that show has everything. Writing, sex, drugs, sex, writing…) and they had the most awesome quote on about writing:

Amen!

It’s often misguided idio-*ahem*- people such as Hank’s old friend that people think writing is easy.

And it is. When you’re on a roll, everything is sweet.

And when you’re not, everything is awful.

This laptop has crashed SIX TIMES since I've started to type this post.

I AM SO OVER IT!!!!

In good news, I have a kick-ass post planned for New Years Eve, but alas in the mean time (as in now) I am going to bid this stupid laptop good night, give up, and go watch a movie.

I've had it up to here *points to top of head* with it crashing ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME.

Christmas Photo Edition

So yes... I've been kinda slack on the blogging front of the late.

But hey!
I almost died!
Well... Not really.
After the first awful night - where I contemplated going to the emergency room, but I didn't have the strength (yes I know, feel sorry for me!).
On Christmas Day, by the end of the night I almost had lost my voice. I was completely wrecked.

Blogging

So today something bad happened.

It all started a few weeks ago (or maybe just one week, it's all kind of a blur) where I wrote a blog post that apparently made someone very unhappy.

In an attempt not to drag this out any, I'm not going to be naming my post, their post, or the subject matter.

And I'm not following their blog, nor have they left any comments on Lit Life (clearly I deleted them). So no amount of snooping will get you to find them! :P

Anyway.

And yesterday that person that I made unhappy went and slammed me on their blog.

And slammed me: I mean ripped my post apart, and blasted me personally.

Non-Shopping + Busy + Links

So, last night my sister and I went to the shops to finish Christmas shopping, but somehow - and I'm not sure how - we got distracted by giant cocktails:

We did go shopping for about fifteen minutes - in which time my dear sister bought a hugely expensive dress - but while we were shopping, I was delighted to find the following:

And I've been writing this blog for an hour now, because I've been straightening my hair, and running around talking to housemates and new housemates and my landlord. Fun times!

Locked Out + Windows + Racism?

So, before I start on my regular post, let me tell you about when I got home tonight.

I'd been at work (The Gift Shop) all day, went home to get changed, then I rushed to Marketing work to drop off somethings and pick up something else, and then I went into town to buy some Christmas presents.

And, in doing so, I bought myself: a new dress, new short-shorts and new top. Hoorah!

And I also bought some Christmas presents too :P

So anyway, I got home just before 8:30pm, and couldn't find my keys. So I rang the doorbell, a housemate let me in, and I dumped my bag contents outside my *locked* bedroom door only to find my keys not there.

Locked inside my bedroom, on my bed, from where I threw ...

Hotness + Penguins + Postcards + Advice

Good day one and all!

And for Melbourne people, a hot one at that!

But while I was walking towards Marketing work, it struck me that the heat wasn't *that* bad.

Now, I HATE hot weather. Hate it. I bitch, I moan. You name it, I do it.

Except today, when I was working towards Marketing, and I realized that the heat actually wasn't that bad.

Yes it was something like 39 degrees, and yes I was hot, but it wasn't humid.

It was like Alice heat, and I like Alice heat. It's much better than Melbourne heat.

So, Mr Melbourne Weather, if you can keep it nice and like Alice heat, I will be a happy camper. Thanks!

Laptop Crashing + Hugs + Cupcakes

So, that pretty much sums up how I felt yesterday after when my LAPTOP COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING.

Yes, that is why I didn't blog yesterday. Not because of a late book club, but because my laptop WOULDN'T TURN ON.

All hail my brilliant father who managed to get it working again.

WOO-HOO!

Speaking of electronics, my beautiful camera also arrived yesterday. And god is it GORGEOUS.

I LOVE it. It takes such great shots, brilliant clarity, just wonderful. I am so, so, so happy.

OHMIGOSH what an AWESOME final episode.

Lea Michele and Amber Riley just kills it, what pure amazing vocal talents those two ladies have.

God, everything about it was just awesome.

Well, some things were kinda annoying. Like when Eve's character didn't run after the judges. Come on! RUN woman, RUN! And also Rachel's GREAT performance of Don't Rain on my Parade. Yes it was amazing, yes she was flawless, but I was of the understanding it was the entire group singing, not just a solo... But anyway.

The end song was particularly awesome, and I loved the flash-back choreography to the old songs. And I do love Kelly.
